Look at how many hands these diamonds go through. Look at all the careful planning that takes place before the cutting ever begins.
Now think of this in spiritual terms ...

Watch This: Part I
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WfAICmRVkKg
Found this video on YouTube. It was made in India and shows the process that a raw diamond goes through from the mine to the store. Actually, it is only part one of their series. Note the way that the inspectors carefully inspect them. Note the fact that the diamonds are marked for every single imperfection on them.
They inspect them so carefully. They hold them so gently; much like our Father holds us.

Toothpaste Is Better Than Nothin'
Ever have those days when you know that you are something brilliant but you don't really feel it? Well, honey, break out the toothpaste and get to scrubbin! Toothpaste can shine up a diamond in a pinch. When you wait too long between cleanings (same as with your teeth) you can get some funk built up on your normally shiny parts. Sometimes life throws things at you that wears on the shine. It dulls and fades; and your spirit usually does, too. All you need is a little toothpaste and elbow grease.

The Bold and the Beautiful
Hello there my shining jewels! How are we doing today? So what if the whole diamond isn't shining with brilliance yet? Show off the sliver that IS.

Choose wisely
How many diamonds do you own? Well, I'm not going to tell you how many I own either, so there. Ok, seriously, I'm not just talking about those dazzling jewels we adorn ourselves with for special occassions. I mean, the true diamonds in your lives. Who dazzles? Who is brilliant? Who makes you feel special? These are rhetorical questions. I don't want you to answer me on this blog. I want you to think about it. Think about how you treat those people. Do you treat them as well as you do your jewelry? Hmm. If only we chose our friends the way some of us choose our bling.

Chips
What happens if a diamond gets a chip in it? What about a crack? Does it lose all of its value? Diamonds are one of the hardest materials in the world. But even they can crack or chip. So if that happens? Do we toss them aside, sell them, discard them?
Does the diamond still have any value if it is flawed?
Does the diamond still have any value if it is flawed?

Light
What happens when you polish something? What happens when you polish a diamond? Light. Light happens. Light can be reflected. As in, THE Light.

About Me
- Amy
- I like to think of myself as a sparkly jewel, though I'm not quite perfect. In fact, I'm far from it. I think becoming a dazzling gem is a life-long journey. I'm a daughter, a sister, a mother, a wife, a BFF, friend, and individual. I have scars from deep wounds and and hopes and dreams to carry me past them. I'm just me.
